On the heels of yesterday’s story that TSA assaulted a 6-year-old girl in New Orleans comes a reports from a mother from Clackamas, Oregon, that a similar thing happened to 8-year-old son. Spencer Sheahan and his family were on their way to Disneyland at the time.

“It didn’t buzz like a normal buzz,” said Heather.  “It beeped like a beep you normally don’t hear.”

Just like that little 8-year-old Spencer found himself in the company of a TSA agent.  Heather snapped photos to show Spencer going through a full pat-down.

“They went up his leg, into that area, down the next leg, up here (chest), felt all over,” she explained.

Heather thought it crossed the line.  Spencer did, too.

“I was confused,” he said.  “I did not know what they were going to do to me.”

Sean Shanahan is charged with statutory rape, enticement of a child and indecent assault and battery on a person 14 or older.

Winthrop Police said this all started when a father contacted them about sexually explicit text messages on his daughter’s cell phone.

Shanahan reportedly began contact with the girl in January.

“The defendant stated to us that it was in fact a ‘sexting’ relationship…they were sending inappropriate text messages to each other of an inappropriate nature,” said Lt. Brian Perrin of the Winthrop Police Department.

Police said the inappropriate contact escalated and Shanahan had physical sexual contact with the girl at his Winthrop home in February over school break.

After a 15-year-old girl came forward claiming Charles Henry Bennett, 57, touched her inappropriately when she was 12, deputies said he was arrested early Friday and booked into the Orange County Jail.

The arrest report says man told investigators he planned to make her his “sex slave.”
